Capel Path Rangers are a group of volunteers with a keen interest in maintaining and improving the public rights of way in the parish of Capel –
Kent County Council provide training and equipment and call us Countryside Access Wardens. The 51 paths in the 26 square miles of Capel Parish are a wonderful resource for us all to use and it is vital for people in our community to play their part in helping to keep the countryside accessible for everyone to enjoy.
There are four ways to become actively involved: firstly you can join us on one of our guided walks, held on alternate months throughout the year – meeting dates, times and places are advertised on our website and in the Parish News; secondly you can join us for our working days – activities include vegetation clearance, waymarking and litterpicking; thirdly you could ‘adopt a path’ and take particular responsibility for a path or group of paths that perhaps you walk regularly and finally, you could become a committee member to help formulate action plans and social events. Whichever you choose, you will be welcome to join our friendly group.
